Racks line the dry chamber: spare wedges, lamp oil, canvas, rope, rail spikes, braces cut to standardized lengths, and boxes of iron tool heads.
Nothing here is exotic. That is what makes the room damning. Nearly every suspicious purchase traced in Macridi has a physical counterpart on these shelves.
No creature enters unless pursued here. The party can Treat Wounds and investigate without immediate pressure.
Challenge: Audit the Depot
Success connects stored quantities to the Scriptorium invoices. Critical success identifies lot numbers filed under different shell-company names despite belonging to the same shipment.
Lower Works Emergency Cache
A locked red-painted chest (Shift Key or Thievery DC 15) contains:
- 2 lesser healing potions
- 2 lesser antidotes
- 1 smokestick
- bandages, chalk, candles, and two days of preserved rations
Stamped Supply Manifest
A surviving manifest lists structural timber, drainage pipe, ventilation canvas, chain, lamps, and hauling equipment. Several entries bear the same hand-and-serpent authorization mark found in Macridi.
Quest Evidence: Proof the suspicious purchases were delivered underground rather than consumed by surface logging.
