SUBSERVIENCE
Orts have almost no drive of their own. A non-ort devil can spend one action to command all orts within 60 feet that can perceive it. The command has the auditory and concentrate traits and remains in effect until another order is given, the commander leaves the ort's sight, or the ort dies.
- Kill — Attack a designated creature; +1 circumstance bonus to attacks against it.
- Defend — Protect the commander; +1 circumstance bonus to AC and saves.
- Fetch — Gain +10-foot circumstance bonus to Speed while retrieving a designated creature or object.
- Work — Perform whatever simple drudge labor the devil commands.
GM NOTES: PULGARI
Orts are excellent inhabitants of the Big Dig. Golden Hand cultists don't command them directly unless granted some special infernal authority; instead, an imp, zebub, vordine, or other devil can direct whole gangs of orts.
They can haul excavation debris, turn infernal winches, drag prisoners, carry ward-stones, or swarm the party when a supervising devil gives the Kill command.
