A flat brass medallion bears a pair of perfectly balanced scales, their pans engraved with tiny riverboat marks. Petitioners’ Port arbiters once carried such seals to hear testimony along the river trade. Its metal grows warm when the bearer shields someone from a wrongful blow.

Trigger You use Retributive Strike and reduce damage to an ally.

Effect After the triggering damage is resolved, the protected ally can Step up to 5 feet as a free action, provided they are able to Step. This movement cannot prevent the triggering damage and does not allow a second Strike or a second champion reaction.

Item benefit While you are a Justice Champion who has invested and is wearing the seal, you gain the benefits of Nimble Reprisal. If you already have the feat, its effects do not stack.

Effect You can use a ranged Strike instead of a melee Strike for your Retributive Strike, provided the enemy is within your weapon’s range and your champion’s aura.

If the triggering enemy is outside your melee reach but no more than 5 feet beyond it, you can Step as part of Retributive Strike to bring the enemy into reach before making your melee Strike. The feat does not increase the reach of your aura or grant additional reactions.

Effect The target receives a +1 status bonus to one attack roll, Perception check, saving throw, or skill check it makes before the spell expires. The target chooses which qualifying roll benefits before rolling, and the spell ends once the bonus is used.

Whether used or not, the creature is temporarily immune to guidance for 1 hour afterward.

The seal casts this cantrip at rank 1; it does not automatically heighten.

Special You must invest the seal. Witnessed Harm requires Retributive Strike, but the seal does not grant that reaction, extend your champion’s aura, or provide extra reactions. Nimble Reprisal applies only to a Justice Champion wearing the seal. Guidance can be activated by any invested wearer. Daily uses belong to the item and do not refresh if the seal changes hands.
