This silver throat-brooch holds a thin disk of darkwood threaded with seven brass strings. When an ally hesitates, the strings answer with a chord too quiet to be mistaken for an ordinary melody.

Requirements You have invested and are wearing the brooch, and an ally within 30 feet who can hear you is about to roll a Will save against an emotion or mental effect.

Effect Before the ally rolls, sound a barely audible supportive note. The ally gains a +1 circumstance bonus to that saving throw.

Limitations The brooch cannot alter a result after it is rolled, grant a new save, override immunity, or increase the range of your compositions.

Limits The feat's bonus doesn't stack with other circumstance bonuses to the same saving throw, including Steady the Chorus.

Duration 1 minute

Effect Orchestral music surrounds you for 1 minute, granting a +1 status bonus to Performance checks. The GM may also allow the bonus on certain social Deception, Diplomacy, and Intimidation checks, though some listeners resist obvious musical manipulation. The music is clearly audible, contains no intelligible words, and imposes a –4 circumstance penalty to Stealth checks. You can Dismiss the spell.

The item casts this cantrip at rank 1 only; it doesn't heighten automatically. The linked WG entry supplies the complete spell rules.

Special The item requires investment. Its feat benefit is class-specific; the custom activation and spell require no additional class features beyond their stated requirements. It grants no new class resources. The custom activation's daily uses belong to the item and never reset when it changes hands.

GM Placement The Wayfarer's Rest in New Macridi or a Cedar Court envoy's presentation box.

Custom homebrew permanent item.
