The Barrow Reliquary
A squat stone coffer stands on a low plinth beyond the two dormant clay mounds. Bronze bands wrap its sides, and a shallow upper tray is worked into the lid. The bronze catches approaching light, making the reliquary visible from the Western Excavation entrance.
Upper Tray — Quiet Prize
The unlocked tray opens without moving the main lid. Inside rests a linked pair of rings: one golden and ruby-set, the other plain iron. These are Doubling Rings (common permanent item 3, 50 gp, Bulk —). A character who reaches the reliquary without waking the guardians can take the rings quietly.

Main Compartment — Heavy Prize
The main lid covers a gilded stone funerary idol depicting a masked Macridi Blade magistrate. The idol is Bulk 6 and worth 75 gp to a collector, museum, or antiquarian.
The idol is seated in a fitted stone cradle connected to the reliquary's plinth. Lifting the main lid, shifting the cradle, attaching ropes, or attempting to remove the idol automatically awakens both Barrow Clay Sentinels before the idol can be freed. Once the guardians are defeated, extracting the idol requires 1 minute of work and no check.
