Takeaways from Karland's Sawmill – The Price of Prophecy (Production)

Before the party leaves, Karland points them toward several useful stops in Old Macridi. These options are available automatically and do not depend on the results of any Sawmill Challenges.

Iron-Root Apothecary — Morwenna Iron-Root

Take a sample of the blighted timber and black sap to Morwenna for examination. Ask whether the symptoms resemble the historical blight at Reiver's Right. Purchase or prepare antitoxins, remedies, and wilderness medical supplies before leaving town.

Veridical Scriptorium — Records of Reiver's Right

Research the recent ownership and reopening of Reiver's Right. Compare the older operating agreements with the contract used when the camp reopened roughly three years ago. Look for property transfers, financiers, amendments, or unusual contract changes connected to the site.

Fanciful Inquiries — Maps & Routes

Acquire a map of the North Road and/or Reiver's Right. Ask Sorzmig Koob about landmarks, alternate paths, and hazards along the route. Ask if he will make maps on commission of the surrounding Palakar and nearby fey territories.

The Gilded Ledger — Secure River Passage

Find Captain Sella Varn at the Gilded Ledger and ask for passage toward Reiver's Right aboard her flatbottom river barge. Pay 10 gp per person, per direction. A round trip costs 20 gp per person. Ask whether Sella will accept something other than coin. She offers an alternative: deal with the trouble surrounding her darkwood boles. Complete Sella's darkwood-boles task. Secure passage by either paying Sella's fare or completing the darkwood-boles task.
