An overturned hauling cart has a small iron pay tin wedged beneath its driver's board. The lid is dented but unlatched. A routine search of the cart finds it without a check.
Contents: 6 gp and 20 sp, plus a folded tally slip headed Hoist Detail — E13 / Lower Works. The total coin value is 8 gp.
The slip records ordinary hauling shifts and helps connect this passage to the log chute and hoist at E13. It does not identify another exit, explain the blight, or reveal the excavation's final objective. Recovering the tin requires no disturbance of the collapse.
