Actions and Abilities

AbilityQuick Reference
Shared InitiativeThe twins act together on initiative 15 unless the GM rolls normally for the scene.
Resonance ContactThey must be conscious, adjacent, and physically touching to activate or change a resonance channel.
Personal Channel [one-action]Choose one effect protecting only the twins: Anchor Shell (+1 status AC and resistance 2 physical), Energy Cocoon (resistance 3 to one energy type), or Shared Momentum (one twin Steps when the other Strides).
Allied Channel [one-action]Choose one effect in a 20-foot emanation for selected allies: Kinetic Defense (+1 status AC against ranged attacks), Energy Defense (resistance 2 to one energy type), or Vector Assistance (+5-foot status Speed and ignore the first square of difficult terrain each move).
Hostile Channel [one-action]Choose one effect in a 20-foot emanation against enemies: Gravity Drag (difficult terrain and –5-foot status Speed), Kinetic Deflection (–1 status to ranged attacks), or Resonance Static (–1 status to Computers, tech Crafting, and tech-controlled attacks).
Three-Channel LimitThey can maintain one Personal, one Allied, and one Hostile effect simultaneously. Activating another effect in a channel replaces the previous one.
Gravity Catch [reaction]Reduce a willing creature's fall by 20 feet or forced movement by 10 feet.
OverextensionThe first time they sustain all three channels in one encounter, both become fatigued after the encounter.

Collars and Opening Betrayal

A disguised Rook disables the restraint collars. This surprises Onyx Team. During the scripted opening round, the Rooks reposition or Strike, the twins activate Kinetic Defense or Energy Defense, and Onyx Team cannot act or use reactions.

Trust

Track Trust from 0 to 3, beginning at 1. Respecting their choices and sharing information can increase Trust. Treating them as equipment, lying about their destination, or forcing resonance use can reduce it.
