Act 3 Overview

The Threshold of Souls wasn't built for the living. Centuries ago, Pharasma's servants—and the psychopomps tasked with guiding lost spirits—used this sacred crossing to move freely between the Material Plane and the Boneyard. That holy purpose is gone. Now, buried deep in the Judgment Chamber, the Veilbreaker's largest shard bleeds cold Void energy into the air, splitting the boundary between life and death a little wider with every passing hour.

Getting to the chamber won't be easy. Ancient constructs and bound guardians still patrol the halls. They don't care why the party is here—they just kill trespassers. Add in centuries of rot and lethal planar traps, and even navigating the hallways is a bloodbath waiting to happen.

The deeper the heroes go, the worse it gets. The planar boundary breaks down completely, warping the stone into void-warped terrain. Unbound spirits drift right through physical walls, and erratic psychopomps lash out at anything with a heartbeat. Before the party can reach the final shard, they have to go through an avatar forged from the Veilbreaker's own essence—a brutal final gatekeeper standing right outside the Judgment Chamber.

Down beneath the Threshold, everything comes to a head. The heroes finally face the Veilbreaker itself. Destroy it with steel and divine magic, perform a primary ritual to seal the tear, or find a wilder way to fix the Boneyard—whatever choice they make here settles the fate of every soul trapped in the wreckage.
