Reiver’s Right — Halven Dorr Missing

To the company presently making inquiries regarding Reiver's Right,

I require you at my workshop as soon as you are able to get here.

This is not about a clock, a survey instrument, or one of the usual requests from people who have managed to damage something that was working perfectly well when it left my hands. My assistant, Halven Dorr, is missing.

I sent Halven directly to Reiver's Right to purchase finished darkwood for several commissions. The previous shipment I received contained a slight but unacceptable infestation beneath the grain, so I instructed him to inspect the stock himself and return only with material suitable for precision work.

He should have returned by now. He has not. Neither has the darkwood, and I have received no message explaining the delay.

I understand you may already have business concerning Reiver's Right. If so, this may concern you as much as it concerns me. Come to the Loft immediately. I will explain what Halven was carrying, what he was looking for, and what I know of his route.
