Player Reference - Lores

Specialized knowledge your character may be able to draw on during the adventure.

Lore represents knowledge gained from a profession, upbringing, culture, hobby, region, organization, or unusual field of study. If you think one of your Lore skills applies, mention it. A sufficiently specific Lore may use a lower DC than a broader skill such as Society, Nature, Religion, Arcana, or Crafting.

This is not a complete list. If your character has another Lore that seems relevant, tell the GM what you know and why you think it applies.

Try your Lore. A Lore skill does not need to reveal the entire answer. It might identify a tool, recognize a material, interpret a record, estimate how many people were present, recognize an old construction method, or simply tell you that something is not normal.

Sometimes a very narrow Lore will be exactly right. Sometimes it will be completely useless. You may not know which until you try it.
