The Shattered God

Before the gods of the Inner Sea, there was a deity of boundaries — not a god of death or life, but of the line between. This entity, known only as the Shattered God, maintained the first Veil. When it was destroyed in a war among primordial powers, its essence scattered across the planes.

Pharasma inherited the Shattered God's duty but not its power. The Veil she maintains is a reconstruction — functional but imperfect. Fragments of the Shattered God's essence can disrupt it, as the Veilbreaker discovered.
