Thornwick Village
Thornwick Village
The village sits in a bowl-shaped valley where three goat-tracks meet. Once whitewashed houses now stand shuttered and silent. Smoke rises from only a dozen chimneys. The inn, The Bleating Lamb, is boarded up — its owner, Grist Mallow, lives in the cellar and shoots at strangers.
Key locations:
- The Church of Pharasma — Sister Mirela's sanctuary. The veil-tear is in the crypt beneath the altar.
- The Bleating Lamb — Potential shelter, if the party can convince Grist they're not "more dead folk."
- The Cemetery — Where the shard is buried. The graves have begun to glow with pale blue light at night.
- Old Varla's Hut — A hedge witch who claims she can "hear the dead thinking." She knows the village's darkest secret.
The church sits at the northern edge, the cemetery behind it. The Bleating Lamb is at the crossroads. Old Varla's hut is in the woods to the east.
