I have made contact with the velstrac. It calls itself The Shadow-That-Walks. It claims to possess knowledge of an ancient contract — a pact made between House Thrune and a lord of the Shadow Plane. If this contract is real, it could grant me immense power.
But the velstrac is not to be trusted. It speaks in riddles and demands a price. I have agreed to meet its representative in the Shadow District next week.

The velstrac has become a threat. It demands more than I am willing to give. I have tried to break off the negotiations, but it refuses. It says I have already made a pact — a binding oath I do not remember making.
