Why the Vhalek Keys Matter

HISTORY · HOUSE VHALEK

Why the Vhalek Keys Matter

The Vhalek siblings did not build three unrelated curiosities. Varos Vhalek proved that a rift could be measured and repeated. Sered Vhalek made that theory survive heat, pressure, and imperfect materials. Maelis Vhalek established the names, promises, and witnesses that stopped a doorway from inviting the wrong thing through.
One control method, divided three ways
  • Glass · VarosThe Prism Key shows where a threshold can exist and how its angles must align.
  • Ash · SeredThe Ember Key determines when the threshold can bear force without rupturing.
  • Thorns · MaelisThe Thorn Seal determines who or what the threshold recognizes as allowed to cross.
Together: Prism, regulator, and seal form a complete rift-control protocol. The keys do not close every portal automatically, but they reveal what must be aligned, restrained, and named before a rift can be controlled safely.
