Overview
Beneath the Razored Labyrinth
Player-Safe Campaign Overview
The Castrovin Sea is vast, storm-scoured, and treacherous. Most sailors hug the coastline, avoiding the deeper waters and the jagged volcanic maze known as the Razored Labyrinth.
Inland, the ancient Bridge of Kridorfrost stands as the only crossing of the Noyrus River for a hundred miles. The bridge-town of Kridorfrost lives by tolls, timber, and river trade.
Then a sinkhole opens beneath the bridge’s lower supports. Workers vanish. Flooded tunnels appear where none should be. Strange black fragments are found in the rubble.
The bridge groans in the rain. Below, muddy water pours into a wound in the earth. Lanterns bob along the edge of the sinkhole as townsfolk whisper prayers, curses, and names of the missing.
Act 1 Beginning
The heroes begin in or near Kridorfrost during the first wave of the crisis. The immediate problems are practical and urgent:

- Stabilize damaged supports.
- Investigate the sudden sinkhole.
- Explore newly exposed flooded tunnels.
- Identify who has been using hidden spaces beneath the bridge.
Starting Tone: grounded investigation, rescue work, dangerous ruins, local politics, and the first hints that the collapse may not be natural.

Early Clues
| Clue | What Players Can Learn |
|---|---|
| Black glassy fragments | The stone does not match local bridge material. |
| Cut support beams | Some damage may have been deliberate. |
| Old tunnel masonry | The bridge may have been built over older structures. |
| Missing tools and rope marks | Someone used these spaces recently. |
The air below the bridge is cold and wet. Mud sucks at your boots. Somewhere deeper in the dark, something metallic swings slowly, tapping stone again and again.
