Old Cistern Map

The cistern is a low complex of brick vaults, knee-deep channels, pressure doors, and maintenance ledges. Sound carries. When the PCs make noise in one chamber, describe ripples and answering knocks from the next.

  1. Drain stair: safe entrance, slick but visible from the market grate.
  2. Sluice hall: location of the Pressure Sluice trap.
  3. Valve chamber: old brass key is wedged in the mechanism.
  4. Lantern well: final encounter and relighting point.
