But when the dragon heir's agents began recruiting halfling traders, Kaelen's family refused—and they were destroyed. Now Kaelen is the last of her line, and she carries a song that can unravel the dragon heir's plans.

  • The Trade Routes: Kaelen knows the secret trade routes the dragon heir's agents use to move weapons and money. She can lead the party to their bases of operation.
  • The Last Song: Kaelen's family passed down a song that was sung at Var's fall. It contains hidden knowledge about the ritual that sank the kingdom.

Planned Progression

  • Levels 1-5: Kaelen focuses on social skills and support, taking feats like Lingering Performance and Improved Initiative. She becomes the party's face and negotiator.
  • Levels 6-10: She discovers that the dragon heir is hunting her bloodline because of an ancient pact. She may prestige into Pathfinder Chronicler or Loremaster.
  • Levels 11-15: Kaelen must decide whether to use her knowledge to destroy the dragon heir or to claim the power of Var for herself. Her alignment may shift based on her choices.
