Directly blockading the massive, moss-covered iron bars of the primary sewer intake grate is a pulsing, translucent heap of putrid sludge. Attracted by the runoff of sacrificial fluids dumped from below, a ravenous Sewer Ooze has slithered up from the dark pipes. It expands and thrums with acidic energy, dissolving a floating wooden crate as the party approaches.
