Mudjaw Lurebloom
Mudjaw lureblooms are carnivorous aquatic plants found in warm, stagnant shallows. Their broad floating leaves resemble ordinary river vegetation, while clusters of pale yellow flowers rise just above the surface. Beneath the water, a dense knot of roots anchors the plant deep in the mud and hides several long, muscular feeding tendrils.
When nearby creatures disturb the water, the lurebloom releases a cloud of sweet, dizzying pollen. Disoriented prey is drawn toward the flowers, where submerged tendrils lash upward and drag victims toward the plant's central feeding maw.

The Mudjaw lurebloom is anchored permanently in the mud. It cannot use move actions or be forcibly moved unless its root mass is first torn free.
Submerged CamouflageWhile motionless among reeds, algae, or other aquatic vegetation, the Mudjaw lurebloom resembles an ordinary patch of flowering marsh plants. It can Hide while in natural shallow-water vegetation even without conventional cover.

The Mudjaw lurebloom releases a cloud of fragrant golden pollen in a 15-foot emanation. Each breathing creature in the area must attempt a DC 18 Will save. A creature that succeeds becomes temporarily immune to Sweetwater Pollen for 1 hour.
Single Action
Requirements The Mudjaw lurebloom has a creature grabbed with a feeding tendril.
Effect The lurebloom pulls the grabbed creature up to 5 feet toward itself. This forced movement does not trigger reactions. If the target becomes adjacent to the lurebloom, it is pulled partially beneath the floating leaves and feeding roots.
Crushing RootsSingle Action
Requirements A creature is grabbed by the Mudjaw lurebloom and adjacent to it.
Effect The lurebloom tightens its submerged root mass around the creature, dealing 1d6+3 bludgeoning damage. The grabbed creature attempts a DC 18 Fortitude save.
The Mudjaw lurebloom senses vibrations through the water and mud. A creature that Strides, Swims, or is forcibly moved through shallow water within its tremorsense range can be detected even if concealed by reeds or murky water.
Death BloomWhen the Mudjaw lurebloom is reduced to 0 HP, its central pod ruptures and releases a harmless cloud of yellow pollen across the surrounding water. For several minutes, the plant's floating leaves slowly collapse beneath the surface.
Math: Mudjaw Lurebloom is Creature 2 against a 1st-level party, making it Party Level +1.
A Party Level +1 creature contributes 60 XP to the encounter budget.
Because the lurebloom is stationary, its practical danger depends heavily on placement, concealment, and whether creatures enter its 10-foot tendril reach.
