The Forgotten Landing Below the Bluff
A steep timber stair and hoist line descend to a small dock pressed against the base of the bluff. Profit's Flow slides past only a few feet below the planks. From the river, the landing is easy to miss beneath the cliff and overhanging trees.
This is the narrow landing river pilots at the Gilded Ledger may have mentioned. Parties arriving aboard the Long Dividend can enter Reiver's Right here instead of using the South Gate.
Perception or Sailing Lore DC 15: The dock handled more than outbound timber. Scuffed planks and reinforced moorings show repeated unloading of heavy cargo from barges.
Critical Success: Fine gray clay and powdered stone are ground into the loading area beneath the hoist. The material came down from above in quantity and was then tracked onto vessels or washed into the river.
A narrow drainage outlet in the bluff releases only a slow trickle now, but its stonework and pipe fittings are too substantial for ordinary rainwater. This directly connects the drainage supplies in the storehouse with work below ground.
If the party earned a second Transport Point from Captain Sella Varn, this is the natural pickup point when she returns for them. If they earned only passage to Reiver's Right, no barge is waiting; the North Road remains their straightforward route back to Macridi.
