Tools Worn on Stone
The smithy's forge is cold. Racks hold axes, hooks, wedges, saw parts, and wagon hardware waiting for repair. On the main bench lies a very different collection: mushroomed chisels, blunted picks, and heavy iron heads scarred by repeated impacts.
Crafting DC 15: The damage comes from repeated work against stone, not wood. Several tool sockets and grooves are packed with fine gray clay.
Critical Success: Repair tags use the initials L.W. for the crews returning these tools. Cross-referencing the Foreman's Hall establishes that the initials mean Lower Works.
Characters carrying Orvik's Brasshand Synchronizer or familiar with Halven Dorr's chronometer can recognize the gray clay as the same unusual material found in the watchmaker's investigation.
