Blight Stabilization
Morwenna has selected several reagents in the bundle specifically because they are useful for cleaning and stabilizing creatures exposed to the strange oily sap found in blighted Palakar timber.
The blight can enter the body through prolonged skin contact, contaminated cuts or wounds, contact with the eyes or mouth, or through ingestion.
Prepare Stabilizing Treatment
Requirements You have an Alchemical Reagent Bundle and access to clean water or another suitable washing medium.
Effect You expend the entire bundle to prepare a cleansing wash, absorbent powder, and bitter medicinal draught for one exposed creature. The treatment takes approximately 10 minutes to administer.
- Fresh Exposure: Thorough treatment removes remaining oily residue and greatly reduces the danger of the exposure progressing into an established infection.
- Developing Blight: If the creature has already begun showing symptoms, the treatment stabilizes the infection for 24 hours.
- Existing Symptoms: Stabilization prevents further progression during this period but does not remove symptoms that have already developed.
- Not a Cure: An established blight infection cannot be removed with ordinary reagents. A specialized treatment or antidote is required.
